We started some solids this week... just bananas.. video to come but here are some pictures. We just smashed up a banana the first time, but last night I fed him out of a jar and he ate the whole thing! I couldn't believe it. I thought it would last for more than one feeding. He loved them. I didn't put a bib on him, and was surprised that he didn't get any on his clothes.. just his face. Brownie was definitely more friendly toward him while he was eating... I knew they'd be friends eventually.
Wednesday I took Brixton for his 6 month check-up. Turns out he has an ear infection in BOTH ears! I had no idea. How is that possible! Well, maybe I had a slight idea, but I think I'm always paranoid. He has been fussy lately, but I didn't think it was more than normal, he's still really happy. He has also tugged at his ear some, but last time he did that we took him in and there was nothing wrong with him. And, he hasn't had a fever at all. So, we have some medicine now and I have to take him back in 10 days for another check-up.He now weighs 17.3 lbs and is 26 inches long. Both of those are around the 50th percentile.. I usually don't worry about the percentile, but this time it's funny because he's average for height and weight, but his head is in the 75-90 percentile.. big headed boy.. just like me ;)
The nurse also asked if he's had a haircut and was surprised he hasn't. His hair is growing in so well.. looks like it's been cut. Hopefully it stays that way for a while.

What a sweet boy! I can understand why he likes the bananas...they are sooo good!
I've thought the same thing about his hair...so even! And he and Jackson are about the same - 50% on everything but the head and that's at 75% too.
I love pictures of the backs of baby's heads. Don't ask me why - I just think they are adorable!
