Bye Bye Baby Teeth

Sunday night Brixton lost his first tooth. It was NOT an easy process, but once it was out he seemed to be excited.

It started at lunch. He bit into an orange slice and then came the tears. His tooth has been loose for a while but he has not been interested in pulling it out. He still wasn't, but that bite of orange made the tooth almost bust out. We tried and tried to convince him to pull it but nothing could convince him, not even the tooth fairy. Then at Qgroup he was eating (I cut all of his food into small pieces because I'm that mom) and then came more screaming and tears. His mouth was full of blood but the tooth was still there! We were trying to calm him down and basically the tooth just fell out on to his plate. He cried and cried and then when the bleeding stopped he decided it was cool.
The tooth fairy brought him $3.25 (9 quarters and 1 dollar). We think she meant to only bring 8 quarters. We had told him that she would probably bring $2 but that if he pulled it that day she may give him an extra dollar, you know supply and demand and she really wanted that tooth.
He was pretty excited the next morning... like run in our room at 6:05 a.m. excited!
The other front bottom tooth is now just as loose. He has decided that one doesn't need to come out either. In fact, Tuesday morning he said, "Mom, last night Jesus told me that God doesn't want my tooth to come out today."
I guess I can't argue with that.
The funny thing is that tooth seems to have migrated a little bit toward the middle making him look sort of snaggletoothed. I think it's cute though. The tooth is super loose. He is now super careful eating in fear that it will come out. Crazy kid.
This video is of the second tooth, you can see how it's in the middle.
