I realized when making the filling I was out of powdered sugar. I googled it and figured out how to make it from sugar and corn starch.

those look good but what impresses me more is making powdered sugar! I've never hheard of that. I did something similar when I needed cream of chicken soup for something and all I had was chicken broth. Let me tell you the homemade cream of chicken is so much better than the canned!
