Not good.
So we had almost everything torn out (thanks Richard Walker) and decided to start from scratch.
Here's the before...
And here is the after...
We would like flowers but this year most of the budget went to compost, two Japanese Maples, two Yuccas and mulch.
Any gardeners out there see potential for this space? I would love your ideas for what to add next spring.

It looks so much better! Looks like you have lots of sun, so my only advice is to make sure you get sun-loving plants. I love yews, they are always green and not too stickery as far as shrubs go. Also, I would just put a few bursts of color with annuals and not try to fill up the whole entire bed with them.
