The countertop installers came this morning!! They actually called at 7am and said they would be there EARLY... 8am!
They quickly got to work.
And here it is!!!! EEEEEKKKK I.AM.SO.EXCITED!!

I am so incredibly excited about how far this has come. It has taken a lot longer than I had hoped, but seeing it now makes me so glad we took the risk to make it happen.
There will be more pictures to come once the backsplash is installed.
