My 7-year-old niece, Kyoko, stayed with us Tuesday night..
I went to Chickasha and picked her up and then on our way back to the city I decided to make a quick stop to show her the store every kid (and adult) needs to see... North Pole City.
Santa was there, and I decided I couldn't afford the $30 pictures, but they said she could talk to him for free.
So, up she went to see Santa (this guy is the real thing!!!). She told him what she wanted and then mentioned that she just wanted my Grandma Hern to make it through her surgery. I could overhear her telling Santa about the surgery, and then Santa did the coolest thing... he had me come up to his sleigh and he said a prayer with us for our grandma. I almost cried! I just couldn't believe that Santa actually offered to pray with us. I don't think I've ever heard of Santa doing that before, it was incredible.
He then gave my niece a card that said she made his nice list. She was so excited about the card, but I just still can't get over the prayer. It really touched my heart.. and today I am thankful for Santa and his willingness to show his faith and love through that prayer.
Thanks Santa!! Someday when I have kids I will definitely pay the $30 for their pictures with you!!!

That's a sweet story!
North Pole City is owned by a family that goes to Oak Crest church of christ, they are great people, so I'm sure they hire great people to. I wouldn't be surprised if he also attended oak crest. But that is so sweet.
That is awesome. I knew they read the story of the birth of Jesus for their Christmas story book time, but to acutally pray with you was awesome!!!!
