OK, this baby has to stop being so dramatic. I'm only 11 weeks along and so far this pregnancy is like a rollercoaster ride!
I'm not asking for your sympathy though prayers are always appreciated. By the way there will be a lot of information in this that everyone may not want to know so be warned.
Wednesday night after my shower I went to the bathroom only to find a frightening amount of blood. I called my doctor immediately.. fortunately I already had an appointment scheduled for Thursday morning... so they said just wait out the night and they would check everything in the morning. Well, good luck sleeping. I called into work and then tried to sleep.. waking up at 4 only to find even more blood. I went back to bed and spent the next hour atleast crying and pleading for a miracle. So we got to the doctor and they did an ultrasound. The baby was there and it's little heart was still beating. They said they really can't figure out why I'm bleeding. This is just the way it's been for me. I've had spotting since about week 5 or 6 on and off again and now this. It's so scary! I have never heard of anyone else who has had this much of a problem with spotting and bleeding and then gone on to have a completely healthy pregnancy.
The good news is the baby is still growing, and is actually pretty big. According to the ultrasound my due date is now three days earlier and I'm measuring about 3-4 days ahead of schedule.
We did see the baby and it seems to have a very distinct face which is kind of weird. We could also see it's arms and legs, which was pretty cool. We haven't actually heard the heartbeat yet, but maybe next time.

We'll be praying that baby Ison continues to be healthy and quits causing so much drama!
I had the same problem with my first baby, and she was totally healthy. Just being a drama queen, I guess. I'm sure everything is fine!
Chellie,
My friend bled heavily for the first 11 weeks of her pregnancy (she had had miscarriages before) and every time she would go to the doctor, Emory was still there! She said it just suddenly stopped. We will keep you in our prayers.

Hey Chellie. I found your blog through Gena's. I just wanted to tell you that I had similar problems in my first pregnancy. At about 7 weeks, I had minor spotting and then at 13 weeks, I went to the bathroom and there was a huge amount of blood in the toilet (sorry if that's way to much TMI for you). I went to hospital because it was a Friday night. Everything looked fine with baby and we could never figure out what happened!
My baby is three now...so he turned out ok!!
Keeping you and baby Ison in our prayers. I know it is a scary time!
We will be praying for us guys. I know how scared you must feel. I had some issue similar to that and Brady is now a healthy, loud, crazy, wonderful 9 1/2 month old!! Pray really works!!
Oh Chellie...Sorry to hear this...but glad everything is ok. I would be scared too...but you've just got to keep praying and know that God has a plan. I will continue to pray that Baby Ison will be healthy and you won't have anymore scares!
oh my! How scary! I'm glad everything is ok. I will be praying for you and the baby!
What doctor/hospital are ya'll going to? I know that horrible feeling thinking "its happening again..." and to go to see the ultrasound and expect to see nothing, but then get complete joy to see a baby alive and well! I bled at 5, 6, and 9 weeks and each time it was awful! but not at all in the 2nd or 3rd trimester. maybe with all the drama, it means you are having a girl?! :) I am soooo glad everything is okay and that you are almost through the first trimester! whoo-hoo! we're still praying for ya!
Chellie,
I had my period for 5 months with Tailor and for 3 with Talon. One of our great aunts had hers the whole 9 months. Just keep your doctor informed but FYI it is kinda normal for our family. I think even Grandma had similar issues. Know that you look great and you and Nate are in everyone's prayers.
Love ya
Amber
