Nate and I spent the past few days in Dallas shopping for our house.. the main goal was bookcases or something for our extra living room because it's just an empty room with lots of unpacked boxes. The main goal was to go to IKEA.
There are so many projects going on now to blog about! Hopefully they'll all get done soon.
First the dining room..
Here was our dining room when we moved in.. (I'm really not a fan of red)
We painted before we moved in.. and tonight Nate took that old light down!! We replaced it with the IKEA Maskros! Here it is with out all the pieces.
It took a little convincing but after a few months of not agreeing on a light fixture Nate agreed to this one. He not only hung it but helped me but the 160 little flowers on the little posts!
He deserves big credit for this! By the way.. isn't the blue wall so much better than the red!
And the finished product! I LOVE it!!
It even casts cool little flower shadows on the walls!
We do have the new bookcases all together, but we're painting the room they go in so it will be a couple of days before that project can be finished. I'll try to post pictures of it..
We also decided on a paint color for our bedroom along with new IKEA lamps, new IKEA sheets and a long time ago I asked you all about our windows and blinds for them .. well we put blinds up a while back, hopefully they will go great with our new color.

I love that light! I have loved it since I saw it back in April, or whenever I went down to IKEA. If only I could pull it off - but you totally can!!!!!
