Designer Challenge: Entry

I have been trying to figure our for months what to do with our entry way -- so I decided to ask for your help.

I have tried to come up with a good paint color-- considered grasscloth wallpaper and still nothing. I really like the grasscloth idea, but I haven't been able to find an affordable way to do it.

I want to do a gallery wall once the background is done. So here are some pics...

From living room
From the bedroom side
This is the other wall

The living room is a grey color so whatever we do needs to coordinate with that -- also we aren't going to put wood on the wall because we want to eventually replace the white tile with wood floor.

Now for your ideas... GO!

I think a fun mid century wall paper would be awesome in that space!

I like the gallery wall idea. Just make sure the space is what you need it to be. You guys don't use it as your primary entry so it doesn't have to fit any kind of mold. Because the walls are textured I think wall paper will be hard to do but there are lots of cool stencil designs out there that look like wall paper.

I love that light fixture! Are you keeping it? Looks very 60's to me. I'll think about the rest and get back to you, if you want a 40 something's opinion. :)

I thought about stenciling but Nate thinks I'm crazy because the wall is HUGE.
The fixture is from the 60s! Our house was built in 1964. And I am grateful for any opinion.

Check out this gallery wall for some serious inspiration.

I haven't seen it in person, but it looks a little tight. I would say keep it simple but maybe find a neat mirror to open it up. A skinny table with a simple tablescape. The gallery wall is a great idea too. I'm sure you've looked but one of my favorite places is just Google Images.
