House Projects

You may remember we moved last summer -- we have lots of plans for this house. Unfortunately many of them got put on hold when our garage door broke.
After several quotes for repair we decided it was best to replace it. We ordered a new one around Thanksgiving and it finally came in just before New Years. Of course, with all the holidays no one came to install it until about a week later.

So here is the before:

And after:
I am so glad the weather has been so nice since it broke. My biggest fear was that I would have to get out at 3:30 in the morning and scrape snow off of my windshield. Thankfully that never happened. I think everyone can blame the nice weather on me. I was praying about the no scraping snow/ice thing -- God knows how hard it is for me to wake up that early and that needing to get up extra early to scrape off the snow would have been tough.

Crazy it snowed(barely, but still) less than a week after the new one was installed.

We are planning to paint the outside of the house at some point. We just ordered the door in white because it can be painted.

I know, not a super exciting update, but considering the cost I'm pretty excited to have it done.

Now on to projects I WANT to do -- like finishing up our master bedroom closet and room arrangement -- finishing the basement floor (that's going to be a big post but probably can't make progress until March or April) -- and re-doing the entry way wall (if we can ever decide on a paint color or wall paper).
