But they are not yet installed... haha... Did I trick you? Well, maybe you can give your opinion while you are here..
The countertops will be installed next Monday. I WILL post pics ASAP.
In the meantime, we do still have other work to get done. We've taken a little break and had several other things going on.
I do think Nate is going to let me put curtains in the dining room. This is a BIG deal! You see, while most people I know have husbands who do not in anyway care about that sort of thing my husband does. It took us 8 months to pick out a couch!! He cares, big time.
Anyway, I went to the interior fabric store today (because for some reason I have it in my mind that I can just make curtains -- another project -- what's wrong with me?!?).
Here are the fabric sections I focused on. The blue fabric is my absolute favorite. I don't know that it will work in the living room/dining room, but it may work in the basement or somewhere else... it's also on sale for like $8 a yard (which is good for interior fabric).

I like grey for paint just because I like more subtle background colors. The living/dining area looks huge! I would get bold with your fabric for curtains. I think the room can handle it.
I am not sure I can tell what color the walls are? Brown and blueish? I love grey or yellow! Either color would look great I think. I personally did grey curtains and then yellow and other colored pillows/decor. That way the curtain is neutral and can match any color scheme. However, that yellow one would make an awesome statement. Can't go wrong! And you can TOTALLY sew it. I sewed like all of Amy Walkers curtains and each panel was only about an hour. Straight lines. Super easy!
