His Princess

Brixton often tells us that someday when he's a "dada" he is going to be married to a princess. While he doesn't not have a name that consistently goes with the princess he does have several very sweet little girlfriends.

Though there is one over the past few months he has been very partial to.

A few weeks ago, Nate took this photo of Brixton and his friend Camille. Right about the time this photo was taken Brixton said he was going to marry Camille, he then put his arm around her (so confidently I might add) and she grabbed his little hand. Too cute! There have also been a few meltdowns when one of them doesn't get to go with the other one somewhere.

Last week she made him this picture. He wanted me to hang it on his wall so he could see it all the time. He also told me to tape it really good, on all sides so it wouldn't fall down.

These two are just so sweet. Whether or not they really get married doesn't matter, but I do hope that they continue to be friends as they grow up. We just love Camille's family. Fortunately, she has a much older big brother who keeps her safe from too many little boyfriends.

And when he isn't talking about the girls he adores he's busy fighting the aliens off from our living room. Nothing better than a space ship made out of a box.

I adore this child and his crazy, chatty, overly independent ways. Hard to imagine how much our life is about to change with the addition of a baby brother or sister. By the way, Brixton REALLY wants a baby brother. I do think we have finally gotten him to understand that we do not get to choose whether the baby is a boy or a girl. He seems to be warming up to the idea that he could potentially have a sister. We'll all find out come July.

Sweet! Our middle son did a similar thing and thankfully he and the girl are still good friends! What cracked me up about it was when he was 4 or 5 we were looking at houses to buy, he told us we could buy a certain house because he liked the fireplace. So when he and Aimee had a baby it wouldn't hurt it's head on the fireplace. Weird and funny!
