My First Stitch Fix: A Review

I signed up for this Stitch Fix thing because I'm awful at picking out clothes for myself. I was warned the first one isn't the best but to keep trying. I did try to be very thorough on my likes/dislikes in the note for my stylist. I also sent a like to my Pinterest style board and told her about my job. I'm really wanting this to workout.

Here goes:

It all came nicely packaged with a note from the stylist explaing how she imagined the pieces being worn.

There were also pictures of other ways to wear each piece.

I got a purple cardigan, a gold necklace, a dark blue striped dress, a striped sweater and jeans.

The stylist suggested I wear the cardigan and necklace with the dress. That is definitely not something I would have put together but it seems to work.

I'm not sure yet on the dress. Nate likes it but I can't decide if I'll actually wear it or not. Would love your opinion on that one.

I love the cardigan. I know I can and will wear it with lots of things I currently own. It's a keeper.

The necklace is going back. It's cute but I have other necklaces that will work just as well.

The sweater is cute, but I think it is something I would pick out myself and then hate after wearing it a couple of times. It's going back. I maybe would keep it if I wanted casual clothes but I don't think it would look good on TV.

The jeans are nice but the waist is really high, they're a little big and the overall fit doesn't work for my body type.

Overall, I think it was a good selection to choose from, a good first try. I was hoping for more clothes I could wear to work. Hopefully I can clarify that in my review notes for the stylist. The items are a little pricey compared to what I would typically pay but they seem to be good quality.  I think it is worth trying especially since you can send it all back if you hate it. Here's a link if you want to give it a shot. They put $20 on hold but that goes toward your first purchase. https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/6212190
