Basement Progress: The Final Floor!!

It's finished!! Well, the floor that is. The room actually has a ways to go.
Here is a look back...
We started with this...
and this...
then scraped and scraped and scraped that floor.

Removed all the debris and junk, leaving us with a "goo" covered floor (that actually doesn't look so gross in this picture).

So, I worked and worked on my hands and knees scrubbing off all the goo and preparing the floor for the final two steps. My sanity was saved thanks to an amazing product blogged about here.
Finally came the painting! And then a sealer on top. An extra coat of paint and more sealer thanks to our dog's middle of the night bathroom emergency... (blogged about here)
And here it is -- the final floor!! It looks a little blue but is actually called 'Cement Grey.' If you have been in the MRCC Summit building then you have seen the color. Nate and I realized recently that it is the same floor paint.

(sorry the picture is a little blurry)

And now a good before and after, because who doesn't love those!!

Before
After

Now comes phase two. Phase two involves adding walls, putting the ceiling back up, new lighting, a new entry/mudroom from the garage and several other little details. We don't have plans to start any of that yet, we are finishing up a few other smaller things first.

Congratulations for being half-way finished! We just got started again on the bathroom remodel after not doing anything for 2 months.
