Random Tuesday

Nate "sprained" his ankle two weeks ago last night. He actually tore a ligament, but I wouldn't take him to the doctor. I did finally take him last week. I guess this means no "Wife of the Year" award for me. I have great pictures of his bruises and swelling, but I haven't uploaded them yet.

It drives me crazy when people spell OK "okay." It's not right. At least according to my AP style book from college. It should be only two letters both capitalized. OK!

I'm making a cake for a little girl's birthday party this weekend. I'm really excited, but a little scared the incredible image in my head won't transfer to cake. Hopefully it works out. I'll post pictures soon.

I'm in my friend Kacee's wedding in a little less than 3 weeks. We picked our dresses out around the end of March. Only Kacee knew I was pregnant at the time, we didn't tell the other girls. The lady at the store was supposed to help me pick something to fit in June. Well, of course, my dress was the last one to come in. It finally did this weekend, so I went to pick it up and try it on and of course there was no hope in zipping that thing. (It looks like this.. just with me in it not this David's Bridal model.)It fit my belly, but a couple of other things have grown and there was no way they were squeezing into the dress. So, I told the lady it didn't fit and she began searching for a bigger size. The next size up would have to be ordered, but two sizes up they had one in the right color. I tried it on while they checked if they could order the in between size. Fortunately it fit, with a little room for growth, which was great because the lady said there was no way they could order the other one and it be there in time! At least now I don't have to back out of my friends wedding.

I agree--Very cute! Glad you were able to switch sizes so you can still be in the wedding! Do they make those dresses in maternity sizes too for if you are even farther along? Well, I'm sure you will look beautiful! And hope the cake turns out well! What's the theme?

I feel Nates pain. I broke my foot and sprained my ankle back at the end of April and it still hurts some. I have this stylish black boot I get to wear!

Glad you found a dress.
