Well, we did it. We put Brixton in daycare full time this week.
I'm not going to say where because I don't want that floating around the Internet.
Monday was a rough day for me, and so was Sunday night. I cried a lot Sunday when I went to bed. I freaked out Monday when the daycare called me in the middle of the morning... I totally froze when I answered the phone and they said who was on the other line. Fortunately nothing was wrong they just had a question about his bottles.
My least favorite part is how he smells when I pick him up. Cleaner that's what he smells like! At least I know they're clean. What I really like is that he's one of only 4 or 5 babies (most places have 8). His teachers are very sweet! They keep asking me if he's never been in daycare before. I guess he cries often because he's used to getting all the attention. He also cries when the other kids cry.. co-dependent already. He's in a room with babies 6 months to one year old because they didn't want to have to move him in a couple months.. stability.
I know we'll all get used to it soon. Nate's actually very pro-daycare. It comes from his sociology degree. He says studies show kids in daycare settings tend to have fewer social anxieties, something we both struggle with. Maybe someday he'll be very social... postitive thoughts ;)

Glad you found one. When I saw you Wednesday, I meant to ask...but I had already past you and was on a mission to get home and get to bed!!
Don't think of it as co-dependent! He is simply empathetic which is a good thing:). My mom stayed at home with us and we are both very social people, but we played with all of the neighborhood kids whose moms stayed at home all the time, so maybe that helps, too. That is why we do lots of playdates:). Sounds like a rough week! Hopefully next week will be better!
Glad to know you guys found a place and hopefully it will get easier!
I know it is tough. The hardest for me was knowing that Kaitlyn was with someone who wasn't family or friends. but it does get better once he's used to the routine! And this will be so good for him to be around other kids.
Thinking of you!
