5 minutes.. Not Enough

I started having contractions last night before church. They were about 10-12 minutes apart. So Nate and I didn't worry or get too excited. We ate dinner.. went to Best Buy... went for a little walk and then I went to bed. About midnight I woke up and the contraction were more painful and about 7-8 minutes apart. I was unable to sleep after that and then around 3:00 they were 3-5 minutes apart and hurting more so we decided to go ahead and go to the hospital. We were trying to make it through the night, because I had an appointment with my doctor scheduled for 8:30 this morning, but the 3 minute ones were enough to send us in. The nurses freaked out on me when we got there because I'm still so early, but they called my doctor and he told them I was right that he had said he wouldn't stop my labor if I made it to Sunday. So they monitored me and put an IV in my arm to see if they would slow or stop. They stayed at 5 minutes.. and still are.. then my doctor came in at about 8:15. The thing is I'm still a 4... I am 80% now though... so he said they would keep monitoring me. Then he decided I could go home and even go to work as long as I take it easy. So, now I'm at work.. having contractions every 5 minutes. I guess we aren't supposed to go back until my water breaks or the contractions knock me to my knees. They did offer to give me something to stop the labor, but my doctor seems confident the baby is ok so I'm just trusting him.
However, if you have a moment we would appreciate any prayers that if our baby is born this week that he doesn't have any medical issues, at least not anything life threatening.

This sounds almost exactly what happened when I was pregnant with Connor. I was in and out of the hospital no less than a dozen times. And, I always thought that the Doctor should have put me on bed rest, but never did. That always confused me. But, Connor was born 5 weeks early anyway and was perfect! I know you're scared and constantly freaked out. Try to stay off your feet as much as you possibly can when you're not at work. Hang in there!!

Whoa. Hope you're doing ok! Sounds like you're getting all the hard stuff out of the way before he gets here!
