It seems more urgent than ever to complete projects at our house now.
This weekend Nate finished the trim to the double window in the baby's room. Still one window to go and baseboards.. though he has all the wood now too. He also got started painting the drawers for the dresser. So much closer. Now if the baby will just hold off a few more days.
Speaking of that this morning sent us back to the hospital. Fortunately after about an hour and a half they let us go home (to work actually). I just had some concerning stuff happen so I called my doctor's office and the nurse told me to go to the hospital. I have to admit I started crying. The thought of laying in a hospital bed for a few days really depressed me. They checked everything out.. good news, I'm still a 4 and 60-70% affaced.. which basically means no change since I left the hospital last Wednesday.
However, we are now officially packed. When they told me to go to the hospital I decided to pack an actual suitcase just in case. It will now stay in Nate's car until needed. I do have a couple of receiving blankets and some socks that I need to wash for the baby, but other than that we are good to go. I am hoping this morning was the last time we go to the hospital before it's actually time to have this little guy.
We had our shower at church yesterday, so now we are even more ready to bring this kiddo home. We still don't have any bottles or a diaper bag, but I'm sure we'll manage. My mom brought us a gift this weekend from her boss... it was a box of 240 newborn diapers! I don't have a clue how long those will last, but combined with the two bags of newborn diapers we already have hopefully it will last a while.
I do want to say thanks to everyone who came to the shower or sent us a gift. We really appreciate everything!
I promise I'll do my best to get nursery pictures soon!
