I'm Just A Passer Outer

So Friday I passed out at my infusion. Really, it's no big deal. I was sitting down at the time so it's not like I fell or anything. I thought it was kind of funny, but I posted it on Facebook and I think everyone else thought it was a little more serious.

I didn't think it was a big deal because passing out is just something I do.
For example:
-I turned 18 and wanted to give blood so badly. It was painful and going slow in one arm so I let them try the other. Went well until I sat up and passed out. Fortunately my dad caught me.
-In college, getting checked for hypoglycemia at the doctor. I pass out in a chair and bang my chin on the cross bar thing. I wake up they put me in a wheelchair and take me to a bed in the ER.
-Three times in the hospital after giving birth.
-A few other times I don't remember as clearly.

Friday I told my infusion nurse to try my left arm because we did my right arm last time. Well my veins are TINY and impossible to stick. After 15 minutes with a heating pad on my arm and hand she found the little vein by my wrist bone.. hence the picture with the green bruise. She stuck me and it HURT way more than normal. I told her it hurt and then I said, "I feel a little light headed." I took a deep breathe and the next thing I know I was waking up and the needle was no longer in my hand. I was sitting in a recliner so basically I just fell asleep momentarily. No big fall, no big deal.  The problem was A)that it hurt big time! B) that I had not eaten breakfast, my bad. After I ate something and drank some juice I was just fine.
I appreciate the prayers! I really do. I just don't want anyone to think this was a serious incident. :)

Sounds like you've always been at the right place to faint! I do that too - except it's happened at the mall and at Frontier City among other places.
