Momma, I want to go to Heaven...

I was taking Brixton to daycare Wednesday morning when we had this conversation...

B: Momma, (in a really sad tearful voice) I just want to go to Heaven.

I don't remember exactly what I said initially, but then I asked, "Do you know how we get to Heaven?"

B: (no longer tearful) We can take airplane way, way, way up in the sky and then it will have a big button on top and it won't make my ears feel silly.

Me: Oh, I think that to get to Heaven we need to be kind to other people and believe in Jesus and...

B: And then we can ride on a clooouuud.

Me: That sounds like fun!

B: Yup

Then last night when we were saying our prayers:

B: Dear God, thank you for today (mumbles in pillow) and help me go to Heaven and let this wall be red and that wall be blue. Thank you for Jesus, in His name Amen.

I guess he and Nate had been talking about Heaven some a few days ago and he said if he had a room in Heaven that is how he would want the walls painted red and blue.

That is so funny because just today Liesel asked me where Jesus is. I said he is in heaven with God. She said "I don't want to go to Heaven. I want to go home and play. I would be scared to go to Heaven." I assured her that Heaven would be way more fun than playing at home but that she didn't need to worry about it today. Maybe our kids should get together and talk about Heaven.
