Kitchen Project Update 3

I am still so pumped about this project!! I am loving seeing it come together. Nate is super stressed, but I find it less frustrating knowing someone else is doing the work and I just have to have the plans.

This is the picture our framer sent us last week right before he left the house. This is our new ceiling and the wall which will separate the dining/kitchen area from the living room. 

This is a view from the kitchen looking into the dining room. I think it gives a good idea of what the final room will look like. We are keeping the IKEA light. It has an adjustable length so it will still work. 

Here is the current state of the room. Yup, all those wires are still hanging there. The electrician comes on Wednesday and we will get that taken care of. 

Here is a reminder of what the room looked like when we started. All of the wires used to sit on top of that ledge. 

We have our kitchen posted for sale. Some guy has said he wants to come get it and we thought we had agreed on a price but we haven't heard from him about when he's coming so we shall see...

Otherwise, we have picked out 4" can lights with LED lights to go in each room. We still need a center fixture for the kitchen but may just put something cheap there temporarily. And then we have ordered a vent hood thing that goes over where the new range will go (in the island area). We have also started assembling cabinets to be installed as soon as the old cabinets come out. Hopefully it will all be done by the end of the year. The good estimate would be Christmas, but I'm trying to convince myself that isn't realistic (Although it could happen).
